Custom Donuts, Minus the Custom-Order Runaround

Most “custom bakery” pages end in a quote form and a three-day email chain. Ours works differently: the personal touches below are built into checkout, and anything beyond them is a written request our bakery partners confirm with you before you pay.

  • ✓ Message card standard
  • ✓ Name on the box
  • ✓ Requests confirmed by a human

Built Into Every Checkout, Today

  • Your message, word for word. 200 characters on a real card — inside jokes, formatted exactly as you typed them. It’s the most-mentioned part of the gift in our delivery confirmations.
  • Their name on the box. The Celebration Box carries the recipient’s name, up to 12 letters, right on the lid. MAYA. GRANDPA JOE. Whatever fits.
  • Candles and topper, $5. A “Happy Birthday” topper plus candles, so the box works as an instant cake substitute. Lighter not included — we checked with legal.
  • Flavor notes. Tell us “no coconut” or “she’d marry maple” at checkout. Passed to the bakery as a request — honored when the morning’s assortment allows.

Special Requests: How They Actually Work

Colors, themes, a company logo, all-chocolate everything — here’s the honest pipeline.

1

Write it in the order notes

Place the order normally and describe what you’re imagining. Specific beats vague: “gold sprinkles, no pink” is workable; “make it elegant” is a coin flip.

2

A human checks with the bakery

We confirm what’s possible in the recipient’s city — capabilities genuinely vary by bakery partner — and get back to you within support hours.

3

You pay after it’s confirmed

Payment happens by secure link after your order is reviewed. If we can’t do the thing, you’ll know before a single dollar moves — no charge-then-apologize.

Customization Questions

Can you put a photo on the donuts?

No — no edible-ink printing, and honestly, photo donuts rarely look like the photo. Names, messages, colors, and candles are where we shine.

Can you do a company logo?

For corporate orders we can often arrange branded touches through the bakery — it’s a special request we confirm first. For ongoing team gifting, see the corporate page.

How far ahead should a custom request go in?

Give us 48 hours or more. The confirmation loop with the bakery is human-speed, and changes are free until 48 hours before delivery either way.

What if the bakery can’t do my request?

We tell you plainly, before payment, and you choose: the standard decorated box, a different idea, or no order at all. Nobody gets surprise-charged for a “we tried”.

Can I make the box allergy-safe?

You can note allergies and we flag them prominently — but our partners’ kitchens handle nuts, gluten, and dairy, so no box is allergen-free. The allergy disclaimer has the full picture.
